Sunday School

Children/Youth classes:
 
Nursery:  Birth through steadily walking and 18 months old.
 
Toddlers: 18 months steadily walking through 3 yrs old (downstairs education bldg.)
 
4,5, & 6 yr olds (4 years through Kindergarten) taught by Tyler Brown and Mariella Easterling (downstairs education bldg.)
 
1st & 2nd grade taught by David and Susan Barnes (upstairs education bldg.)
 
3rd,4th and 5th  grade taught by Jeannie Kelly and Lynda Fain (upstairs education bldg.)
 
Tweens (6th, 7th & 8th grade) taught by Gwen Ellis (Family Life Center balcony)
 
Sr. High (9th-12th grade) taught by Karen Reneau (Family Life Center balcony)  We study a variety of scripture.  We eat breakfast together each Sunday
as  a group.  We begin class with a time of reflection using contemporary music. 
 
Adult classes:
 
Bruce Airey Class (men’s class) meets in the Chapel—taught by Ed Johnson
 
Cornerstone Class meets downstairs Education Bldg.—taught by Mark Matthews
The Cornerstone Class is a diverse group of singles and married couples from age 35 & up. Class participation is encouraged as we study and discuss Biblical based publications. Recent studies include writings by Christian authors Max Lucado and David Jeremiah. Our focus is to apply Bible teachings to daily life. Discussions are lively and thought provoking. We are bound by our love of Christ, as well as prayer and ministry to each other, our church and community. A joyful group that shares time together on Sundays and at regular social functions.

Jane Blair Class meets upstairs Education Bldg.—taught by Bob Reneau and Dennis Fain
The Jane Blair Sunday School Class is comprised of men and women of middle age.  The Bible is the primary source for our class study and discussion.  Class members make it a point to support each other, both in good times and in times of illness or sadness.  We are presently studying I Timothy and will study the other "Pastoral Epistles" (2 Timothy and Titus) this fall.  The Jane Blair Class meets in Room E-202 on the second floor of the Education Building.
 
Bob Ragan meets downstairs Family Life Center—
Bob Ragan Class is a dynamic and eclectic group at various points along their Christian journey. The unifying factor is a desire to learn more about living a Christ centered life, individually as well as through our family and relationships. The Bob Ragan class recognizes the importance of mutual support and fellowship as part of our Christian journey.  Currently studying and going through the Bible.
 
Joy Class (women’s class) meets downstairs Family Life Center—taught by Alice Scarborough
This is a class for women whose purpose and desire is to support and fellowship with one another, to study the scriptures in depth and to grow in our Christian faith.  Facilitated discussion raises awareness of the gospel and perennial social problems with a focus on being faithful witnesses for Christ as we respond and take action to make a difference in our church, community, and world. You may join the Joy Class in room F102 in the Family Life Center.
 
New Beginnings Class meets upstairs Family Life Center—taught by class members (rotating schedule)
New Beginnings, a diversified Sunday School Class for adults of all ages, pursues God's vision for life through independent Bible study with full and unfettered discussion of lessons and issues. A caring and giving group putting it's faith into action and following the teachings of Jesus Christ as exemplified through it's food ministry as one example of it's dedication to the Church and community. With keen insight into the heart of God and an in depth focus on God’s word, New Beginnings members are committed to Jesus Christ, His Great Commandmet and His Great Commission.
 
Pairs & Spares Class meets upstairs Education Bldg.—taught by Len Hall and Lee Cash
We keep active in various church projects with our donations of time/money.  This is really a social group whose members study The Bible and printed material designed to reinforce our love for Jesus.  There is no set age range.  We have members who are married to each other, and members who are unaccompanied.
 
Life Topics Class meets upstairs in the Education Bldg.-taught by Bob Francis and class members
A caring group of couples (and singles) who study books of the Bible and other related material.  The emphasis is how can we apply the material studied to our daily lives.  Lively group discussions are the norm every Sunday. The teaching responsibility rotates among the class members.
